Welcome to Music Among Friends! We're pleased to have you join our community.
- To formally become a student, kindly complete our enrolment form (member profile) and agree to our terms.
- We kindly request that enrolled students and parents refrain from arranging private teaching sessions with our contracted teachers.
- Please note, there's a one-time signup fee of $15.
(Existing customers are exempted from this fee)
Lesson Policies
- Promptness is key to our lesson schedule. Please arrive on time for your lessons, as extending lesson times for late arrivals may disrupt other students.
- Students need to have an instrument at home for practice.
If you still need to get one, feel free to inquire about our instrumental hiring program.
- Students are expected to obtain the necessary materials suggested by their teacher. These may include method books, theory books, or a notebook.
- In the unlikely event that a teacher cannot attend a lesson, we will either find a suitable teacher or issue make-up lesson credit.
Cancellation Policies
We understand that cancellations are sometimes inevitable. To cancel, we kindly request that it be processed through the booking software to maintain accuracy and transparency in scheduling.
- Please give us 24 hours' notice, and you'll be entitled to a make-up session.
- Cancellations made with sufficient notice are entitled to a make-up session.
- A cap of 2 makeup sessions is granted for each student per term.
- Make-up session credits are valid for 90 days.
- If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, unfortunately, the lesson is forfeited, and you won't be entitled to a make-up session.
- Group Sessions: We cannot re-schedule or make up missed group Sessions and the group Sessions will run and be charged as usual

- Self Cancellations: Please note that appointments must be paid in full to allow for self-cancellation from the platform.
Make-up lesson Policies
- Once a make-up lesson is booked, please note that it cannot be rescheduled. If you cancel, the lesson is forfeited.
- We grant up to 2 make-up sessions per term, and each make-up session is valid for 90 days.
Pricing and Payment Structure
As a default, every student is enrolled with the monthly subscription payment method. This entails a monthly subscription fee calculated on a per-visit basis.
Payment of fees is required in advance unless prior arrangements have been made with MAF.

Late Payment fee
- A $15 accounting fee is applicable for late payments.
- A payment is deemed late if it occurs 15 days after the due date.
- No refunds, credits, or make-up sessions will be given for any missed lesson that does not meet our cancellation policies.
“Hold Your Spot” Policies
Planning a break and want to keep your spot secure when you return? No problem! You can secure your spot following these guidelines.
- Notice: Please provide us with a heads-up at least two weeks before the start date you wish to hold your spot.
- Time Limit: You can hold your spot for up to one term, which is around 10 weeks.
- Holding Fee: To facilitate seamless scheduling, there's a holding fee equivalent to 25% of the duration you intend to keep your spot.
- How to Hold: Get in touch with our administrative team, sharing your preferred start date and the duration of your absence.
- Secure Your Spot: Upon confirmation, kindly settle the holding fee within five business days to ensure your spot remains reserved.

Withdrawal notice
- By default, students are enrolled for the next term unless a withdrawal notice is provided.
- To cancel enrollment, kindly provide us with a 2-week notice before the commencement of the next term. Failure to do so will result in the charge for the first lesson of the next term.
- If withdrawal occurs during the term, a refund of 50% of the remaining credits will be issued.
Trial Lessons
Curious to experience our lessons before committing?
Enjoy a one-off 30-minute trial lesson at a discounted rate of 50%. It's an excellent opportunity to meet the teacher and determine if our program suits your needs.
Trial lesson Policies
- The trial lesson costs $20
- It can be scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance.
- Please note, that attending a trial lesson does not constitute formal enrollment.
